Pool Kids have arrived, courtesy of our favorite Midwest indie rock label Skeletal Lightning! Their new self-titled album ‘Pool Kids’ is a powerful yet accessible fusion of emotional, technically-elevated math rock. The record spans from high energy and emotionally charged songs to softer mid-tempo moments. Blending layered synths and guitar riffs, producer Mike Vernon Davis brings out unique indie-pop textures that are a new frontier for the band. Lyrically, the album pulls from the universal notion of rebirth and rebuilding from past traumatic experiences. With the addition of two new writing members and everyone being spread out throughout the country, it grew increasingly difficult to complete this album. Aside from the distance the group experienced the ultimate nightmare when their studio flooded; ruining equipment, original music and most importantly their momentum. Despite the challenges they persevered, delivering nothing short of magic. Check out the video for their latest single off the album, “Arm’s Length”:

Israeli Alternative Rock superstar Ninet Tayeb turns up the emotion with her brilliant new single “Who Is Us”, the first release from her forthcoming album. Her first English language release since her 2020 single “Feel The Buzz”, the song showcases her soaring vocals and killer band featuring her husband Joseph E-Shine on guitar. The artistry of producer Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Wolf Alice) captures Ninet’s untamed spirit as she belts out the moving chorus. The reflective lyrics paint a poetic image of the spiritual journey into life’s unknowns, questioning who we are now and will become in the future. “I want people to feel whatever they want to feel, I wanna be the channel to their deepest thoughts. I wanna make them feel alive.” – Ninet Tayeb Ninet Tayeb is more than a household name in her home country. The energy and rhythm driving “To Be Free”, the new single by Ontario’s very own The Indiana Drones, makes you feel like you’re in the middle of a high speed car chase scene. Inspired by the soundtrack to Tarrantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, songwriter Justin Zuccato wanted to create a song about about riding the line between having a good time and numbing yourself. He describes it as “1960s Batman TV show meets Quentin Tarantino meets Nirvana meets a computer.” We just think it’s rad. Justin Zuccato formed Indiana Drones as a solo project after having been a touring musician and producer for Canadian rocker Billy Raffoul for five years prior. Impeccably written and produced, this growing catalog of songs is sure to find it’s way onto the big screen. Or at the very least, a 50 inch one albums, West End Coast and AM Waves set the benchmark for 21st Century, 1970s-influenced rock music. Platts […]

For those who geek out on the flawlessly executed smooth sounds of Steely Dan, Young Gun Silver Fox’s new single “West Side Jet” will not disappoint. The first single off their upcoming album “Ticket To Shangri La”, the song catches a vibe straight out of the mid 70’s and flexes the band’s razor sharp Yacht Rock chops. Complete with a whistling intro, punchy bassline, verbed up percussion, a slick acoustic guitar solo and literally all the major seven chords, the term nostalgia really doesn’t do this masterpiece justice. It totally takes you there. Young Gun Silver Fox is a duo comprised of Andy Platts and Shawn Lee. Their first two albums, West End Coast and AM Waves set the benchmark for 21st Century, 1970s-influenced rock music.
