We’re thrilled to announce that “Streets” by Dwin, The Stoic will be featured in the upcoming Disney documentary Madu, premiering Friday, March 29th on Disney+.
Dwin, The Stoic
Dwin, The Stoic, born Edwin Madu (no relation to the main character in this docuseries), is a multi-faceted Nigerian artist known for his songwriting, performing and composing talents. Distinguished for his work both as a solo artist and as a member of the band Ignis Brothers, Dwin explores a wide range of genres including afro fusion, indie pop, folk, afropop, chamber pop and house. Dwin’s music has been featured in short films, advertising campaigns, and television series, with his song “The Lonely” used in the Netflix original series “Far From Home”.

From practicing barefoot on the streets of Lagos to performing on stage in England, “Madu” follows 12-year-old Anthony Madu as he leaves his home in Nigeria to study at one of the most prestigious ballet schools in the world. His journey is a story of courage, growth, extraordinary obstacles, an unexpected complication that threatens his dreams, and, ultimately, his search for belonging.
