This week marks the release of the reboot of the 1990 hit film “House Party”, featuring the song “En Mi Cama” by Puerto Rican rapper Joah. The official release date is on Friday, January 13th, apparently Warner Brothers is not at all superstitious!
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Joah began to produce his own tracks to sing from an early age with his piano and his first computer. Thus began Joah’s musical journey which has led him to work as a DJ, event promoter, model and now singer, whose sound features contemporary urban Latin rhythms and lyric themes. “En Mi Cama” was produced by our label client Empire Music Nation.
Produced by New Line Cinema and LeBron James through his production company, SpringHill Company, the story follows aspiring club promoters/best buds Damon and Kevin, who are out of money, down on their luck and freshly fired from their low-lift jobs as house cleaners, when they decide to host the party of the year at an exclusive mansion, the site of their last cleaning job, which just happens to belong to none other than LeBron James, who also stars as himself.
