Iconic hip hop producer and member of legendary hip-hop group Jurassic 5 DJ Nu-Mark is back with a brand new EP entitled ”Test Patterns”. This six-track instrumental EP features Nu-Mark’s signature production sound, firmly rooted in the past but with a progressive, futuristic sound that sets him apart as one of the premier producers making beats today.
An accomplished DJ, producer, recording artist, composer and label owner, DJ Nu-Mark has been churning out straight fire since the 90’s. As a solo artist, Nu’s collaborations under his own name and the alias TRDMRK include features with major artists like Aloe Blacc, MF Doom, Charles Bradley, Quantic and Del the Funky Homosapien. No stranger to Hollywood either, he’s had soundtrack credits and guest appearances in blockbuster films like Ride Along, Shaft, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, MacGruber and Tom & Jerry: The Movie. He has graced stages all around the world from Glastonbury to Coachella and has been featured in countless music documentaries such as the “Scratch” Documentary, and Rock the Bells – The Documentary.
Nu-Mark also serves as a judge for DJ competitions and holds an annual residency alongside Jazzy Jeff at the International Red Bull Music 3style, the biggest DJ competition in the world. The multi-faceted DJ, producer and artist stays productive as he continues to pioneer his way through the industry, leaving an indelible (nu) mark on the culture.
