DM Arthur’s new single “Sun Is Gone” is a stripped-down yet cinematic reflection on the fleeting nature of hope. Written after a rough night shift and inspired by a brief moment of sunlight breaking through a window, the song moves between light and shadow, both sonically and emotionally. Co-written by Starsailor frontman James Walsh, it pairs raw lyrics with a tonal arc resembling a slow sunrise, hinting at renewal and the passing of darker days. Originally from Glasgow, DM Arthur taught himself guitar as a teenager, drawing influence from artists like Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan. We’re excited to announce that “Smoking Gun” by JEMS is being featured in episode 109 of the new Tyler Perry Netflix sitcom Miss Governor (f/k/a She The People), premiering on Thursday, August 14th. JEMS JEMS is an Indie-Folk trio from Los Angeles made up of Emily Colombier, Jessica Rotter, and Sarah Margaret Huff.
