Unrequited love is one of the harsh realities we’ve probably all faced at one point or another. Runrummer’s latest single, “Not Quite Over You” takes a deep dive into the truth about heartbreak and emotions when you can’t quite figure out why you’re not the apple of someone’s eye. Although the production behind the upbeat electro-pop track is groove-worthy, the lyrics tell a different story. Drawing inspiration from artists like Fleetwood Mac, Phoebe Bridges and Shura, Runrummer has developed a vibrant and eclectic sound. Released this past Friday, “Not Quite Over You” appeared on Spotify’s New Music Friday UK and has been receiving great press coverage and airplay in the US and UK.
Inspired by the famous Rum Runner Nightclub in the 70s and 80s which launched the careers of Duran Duran and Dexys Midnight Runners, East London-based singer-songwriter and producer Livi Morris took on the inverted moniker Runrummer. Starting her career as a teenager writing songs for The Chainsmokers and Showtek, Livi has toured the UK and steadily built a following for her solo project. Her debut full length album ‘Elevator’ is set to release later this year. Though you’d think she’d call it ‘Lift’?
