Centered around producer duo Janlou “Dumi” Borges and Andy “Dru” Goicochea, the group blends together their Caribbean roots with global eclectic sounds. Supa Girlz on ALLBLK This series follows a dance season in the life of one of the best high school dance teams in the country: the Miami Northwestern “G Girls.” Led by a boldly unapologetic and visionary director, Traci Young-Byron, the “G Girls” have become a trend-setting viral sensation whose successes and struggles reflect those of the neighborhood they call home: Liberty City, Miami. The Royal Statement’s latest single, “FOCUSED” is a fun and Caribbean-inspired track highlighting the hard work, determination and sacrifice it takes to excel. The song features vocals from Jamaican artist Tifa, one of the top female deejays in the Reggae and Dancehall space. Producer duo Royalty Statements are known for their dynamic and eclectic music heavily rooted in their Caribbean cultures. The combination of DUMI’s Haitian background and SOIGNÉ’s Dominican Republic culture along with a core group of collaborators from all around Latin America has helped the two have built a signature sound that encompasses a variety of genres like Hip Hop, Konpa, Dancehall, Soca and Dembow.
