Sometimes the saying, “everything happens for a reason” helps us justify the confusion that we all experience in life. In Certainly So’s latest single, “Lucid”, the band explores this introspective concept. Driven by Tanner Gray’s bittersweet vocals and a gorgeous string arrangement, the song slowly builds in an acoustic 6/8 feel reminiscent of Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” until it hits the final third where it explodes into a driving rock finale.
Hailing from Birmingham and Nashville, this self described “post-angst” band was formed in 2010 by the joining of longtime friends who have been collectively refining their classic inspired indie rock sound for the past decade.
