We all know the highs of a relationship can be magical while the lows can sometimes be quite traumatizing, but in Rush Midnight’s latest single, “off/on” he reflects on the beauty of it all. Sticking true to his signature sound of lush synths, funky bass lines, horn stabs and mesmerizing vocals, this song is a smooth 70’s throwback a la Tame Impala, Neon Indian and Blood Orange. We try to transform lingering relationship trauma into beautiful art. We wrote this song by a pool in West Hollywood. Fionn – ‘I Might Start Smoking’

Just in time for the summer, Fionn returns with their latest album ‘I Might Start Smoking’. Inspired by the unpredictable transition into adulthood and quoted as their “second coming of age”, the twin sister duo delivers a super catchy indie-pop record in the vein of artists like Haim, boygenius and MUNA. The Celtic-Canadian duo first came onto the music scene in 2018 with their self-titled debut album and began building an incredible catalog with the label 604 Records. Known for their catchy hooks and creative songwriting abilities, the sisters have refined their craft and never fail to deliver a well-polished sound. Moving on from the 60’s style Psych-Pop of their last few singles, in their newest single “Hiding From” the mysterious duo King Complex leans into a dreamy 80’s inspired synth driven sound a-la Tame Impala and Empire Of The Sun. In their own words: I think it speaks to both our personalities heavily, in terms of wanting to withdraw from the world in some ways, while also being heavily emotionally tied to others. This masked Florida duo gained significant success from their single, “Dark Disco” which garnered over a million streams on Spotify. Always changing up their sound but exploring retro vibes from the past, this band’s ambiguous style continues to evolve.
