Out this week, ok, tyler’s new album ‘PROFESSIONAL PRETENDER’ takes us on a journey through a range of genres and emotions, showcasing his exceptional range as an artist, producer and musician. Peppered with ethereal voice memo vignettes, the album heads off in totally unexpected directions but is tied together by Tyler’s authentic emotional depth and subtle dark humor. For example, the opening track “Jenny, u were my first” is a super catchy song with a jazzy sax solo that’s about falling in love with your dead girlfriend’s sister. Originally from Tennessee but now based in NYC, Tyler Moore is a pure one-stop shop writing and self-producing all his own music. Although not tied to a specific genre, when pressed he describes his music as a cross between Rex Orange County, Dominic Fike and The 1975. Having already had his music synced in Netflix’s “Devil In Ohio” and “Pieces Of Her”, […]
Coming through with another hip hop banger to add to the collection is Jenn Morel with her latest single, “Estilo Cochino”. The Dominican-American rapper’s infectious cadence and swagger definitely sets her apart from the rest. Switching up the flow and increasing intensity throughout the track, at the one minute mark she spits a lightning fast verse that would make Busta Rhymes blush. If that weren’t enough she also styled, produced and creative directed the one-shot music video (see below). Originally, Jenn started off as a dancer and social media/comedy influencer and quickly built a following from a short freestyle video that inspired her platinum hit record “Ponteme”. Over the past four years, Jenn Morel has blossomed into an international sensation and has garnered over 80 million streams worldwide. She has also had sync placements with brands like Samsung, Fortnite, and Just Dance. Who’s next? Is it you? Check out the video for “Estilo Cochino”:

The new album ‘Love Potion No. 9’ by emerging R&B artist Judaea, is an intimate look at the past few years of her life. The album opens with the ethereal intro track “Going My Way”, a song that speaks to themes of self-empowerment, self-love and determination for a better life. Across eight tracks, she shares her story of struggling with losing love and finding it again in herself and others. For me, creating music is about creating a moment and living in that moment, celebrating the love and light in that moment & then playing it over & over again. Judaea’s sound is a synth driven mix of R&B and Pop, paired with her soft and sultry vocals. Though lyrically a very personal and emotional album, her slick production and top notch songwriting manages to get your head moving along the way. In the leadup to her album release, Judaea’s single “I Wanna Feel” […]
Self-described “independent electro bedroom pop rapping rockstar” Blayne B. is making waves blending together pop and hip hop with a punk/emo sensibility. His new single “Carousel” is a quintessential young adult relationship song full of heartache and disappointment. Produced and co-written by Nashville producer Austin Bianco, this song cuts straight into the heart. Blayne B. makes music exploring his identity and intimacies with the world and the things inside of it. He makes songs for those who can’t express their feelings correctly. Growing up with anxiety he felt he could never express his emotions without being limited by his own brain, so making music allowed him to express his emotions and be vulnerable. His unique sound is inspired by influences like Daniel Johnston and Elton John as well as more contemporary artists like Post Malone and Tyler The Creator. Blayne’s music has been placed on ESPN and most recently the hit CW series “All American”, the first […]
What do you do when your world burns down, and you’re the reason? That’s the question posed in “The Reason” by singer-songwriter Norman Alexander. Inspired by his own battles with love, this record was written during a period of reflection following the end of a relationship. Dealing with themes of personal responsibility and accountability, he explores the difficulty of coping with his actions and the ability to move forward. Towards the end of the song, a gorgeous string arrangement lifts up Norman’s thunderous voice, building to heights of emotion we simply don’t hear enough in music these days. Raised in Queens, NY, the soulful singer-songwriter honed his craft over the years as a self-taught artist. His immaculate vocals are filled with devotion, passion and artistry that grabs your attention and pulls at your heart strings. Check out the music video for “The Reason”, which has received more than 1.3 million views to date:
Buzzing through the Costa Rican music scene with their latest album release ‘CAMALOVE’ is the alternative Pop/Funk band Cocofunka. After coming off a hiatus, the band decided to use the time during the lockdowns to create an album of liberation and joy. The album features a mix of lo-fi chill pop and upbeat bright reggae grooves in both English and Spanish. The album celebrates international talent with features from several artists such as Debi Nova, Toledo, Marissa Mur, Sofia Stainer, Andrea Cruz and Néstor Ramljak from Nonpalidece. This is also the first album that Javier Arce and Nacho Paez wrote, recorded and produced for the band while the award-winning engineer, Dilip Harris mixed the record. The band stepped into the sync lane when their song “Asturión” was featured on the Netflix series “Always a Witch”. We suspect this placement won’t be their last and are thrilled to have this amazing band on our roster!

K. Roosevelt’s brilliant new album ‘Solstice’ will have you locked into a dreamlike trance, consumed by the deep vibe he conjures up. With washed out synths, funky basslines and laid back grooves, this record is the perfect soundtrack for those sexy LA summer nights. Standout tracks include “Love Blind”, “Day Glow”, and “Impress Me” featuring R&B singer Arin Ray. ‘Solstice’ is the second independent LP from the Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer following five years of releases on Interscope and Def Jam. Starting his journey at a young age following in the footsteps of his father Keb Mo, Roosevelt started out as a drummer and expanded from there into the musical polymath he is today. This week his song “Day Glow” appears in the new Freeform series ’Everything’s Trash’, no doubt the first of many placements to come on this record! Check out his latest video for the single “Golden Hour,” off the […]
Pool Kids have arrived, courtesy of our favorite Midwest indie rock label Skeletal Lightning! Their new self-titled album ‘Pool Kids’ is a powerful yet accessible fusion of emotional, technically-elevated math rock. The record spans from high energy and emotionally charged songs to softer mid-tempo moments. Blending layered synths and guitar riffs, producer Mike Vernon Davis brings out unique indie-pop textures that are a new frontier for the band. Lyrically, the album pulls from the universal notion of rebirth and rebuilding from past traumatic experiences. With the addition of two new writing members and everyone being spread out throughout the country, it grew increasingly difficult to complete this album. Aside from the distance the group experienced the ultimate nightmare when their studio flooded; ruining equipment, original music and most importantly their momentum. Despite the challenges they persevered, delivering nothing short of magic. Check out the video for their latest single off the album, “Arm’s Length”:
