Sometimes the saying, “everything happens for a reason” helps us justify the confusion that we all experience in life. In Certainly So’s latest single, “Lucid”, the band explores this introspective concept. Driven by Tanner Gray’s bittersweet vocals and a gorgeous string arrangement, the song slowly builds in an acoustic 6/8 feel reminiscent of Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” until it hits the final third where it explodes into a driving rock finale. Hailing from Birmingham and Nashville, this self described “post-angst” band was formed in 2010 by the joining of longtime friends who have been collectively refining their classic inspired indie rock sound for the past decade.

EMM’s latest single, “Kool Aid” encourages listeners to let go of all inhibitions, knock back whatever helps ease the pain and dance the night away. The energetic synth pop track features EMM’s signature powerhouse vocals over a bouncy 80’s retro beat and pulsating synths. This uptempo party driven track is a decidedly different musical direction for EMM, who typically writes darker epic Alt. Pop anthems. Ever constant is her attention to detail when it comes to syncability, something she does masterfully across her whole catalog. EMM is an L.A. based artist, songwriter, producer and classically-trained multi-instrumentalist. Pairing her exceptional talent with her vision, drive and business mindset, EMM has built an extensive music catalog with millions of streams across platforms as well as a massive six-figure following on TikTok. Her past sync placements include “Lucifer”, “Good Trouble”, “The L Word: Generation Q”, “Katy Keene” and video content for the successful […]

The latest single by The Indiana Drones is aptly called “Waking Up”, and when that chorus hits you’ll understand why. Backed by a swirling chorus and massive chunky guitars, a steady buildup reaches its anthemic peak and shouts out: I’m waking upIt’s been a long nightLet’s shake of the rustLet’s open these blinds andLet a little bit of daylight inFind out where the demons liveCuz I’m waking up The Indiana Drones is the solo passion project from touring and studio musician, Justin Zuccato. This Ontario based one-man-band writes, produces, records and plays all the instruments on his albums. Moving on from a heartbreak is never easy, especially when you’re miles away in a new city. The new track “Maybe I’ll Try”, London duo Goodvibes Sound explores these themes in a slow psychedelic, 70s soft-rock-inspired groove that’s reminiscent of a California dream. Goodvibes Sound have developed their signature sound over the past three years as they write, produce and mix all their own material. Known for their 70’s-inspired psychedelic sound and laid back jams like their summer masterpiece “Beachside Living”, the duo’s fanbase is quickly growing as they have garnered millions of streams worldwide.

Pulling from memories of a childhood celebrity crush, in Mom Rock’s latest single “Close Your Eyes” is all about realizing that some fantasies are just not meant to be. This is the second single off the band’s forthcoming album, ‘Now That’s What I Call Mom Rock’ which was produced by Sean O’Keefe (Fall Out Boy, Plain White T’s, Beach Bunny). You see someone from afar and fall in love. Without knowing who this person really is, you dream up a whole future together. This kid essentially obsesses over a popstar, meets her, and she’s like, ‘You’re a kid. I’m not in love with you. That would be weird.’ We’d been covering ‘Teenage Dirtbag,’ and it’s the reverse sentiment. It’s a ‘sad in love’ song. Originally formed at Berklee, this Nashville-based Powerpop trio is tearing up the indie scene with a sound that evokes iconic 90’s rock bands like Weezer and […]

If you’re hiding out indoors to escape the brutal summer heat, Päter’s latest single “Four Walls” will keep you company. Tacked piano, wacky background vocals and a strong driving beat a la Arcade Fire gives this song all the energy you need to keep yourself bouncing around your air conditioned bedroom. My reference for this track was the part in Willy Wonka where all the creepy dolls do a song and dance and then blow up. It’s about this age of bedroom content making that’s dressed up with so much promise but can in fact become quite isolating and maddening. Packaged in high octane indie rock delight. Who would have thought a music career could begin from the sale of a childhood puppy? After being forced to sell their family dog after the birth of a sibling, Päter traded in a pet for a guitar. Over the years and through […]

We all know the highs of a relationship can be magical while the lows can sometimes be quite traumatizing, but in Rush Midnight’s latest single, “off/on” he reflects on the beauty of it all. Sticking true to his signature sound of lush synths, funky bass lines, horn stabs and mesmerizing vocals, this song is a smooth 70’s throwback a la Tame Impala, Neon Indian and Blood Orange. We try to transform lingering relationship trauma into beautiful art.  We wrote this song by a pool in West Hollywood. A love affair that evolves downward always has its extreme highs and lows etched into our memories; there’s beauty in it. New York native Russell Manning began his journey in music studying jazz at Oberlin under bass legends Buster Williams, Eddie Gomez and Leon Dorsey. After touring overseas with the band Twin Shadow he settled down in Los Angeles and began his career […]

Our experiences and the things we remember all play a part in our past and the baggage we carry. In SHEISA’s latest single, “Reloj” (“Clock”) they sing about the concept of time and sentimentality, all delivered with the group’s uplifting and powerful vocals. Full of cinematic elements and builds, this dream pop song is the first single off their upcoming EP “En La Mochila” (“In the Bag”) which explores the notion of baggage we carry. Solo quiero recordarte / I just want to remember youGuardarte en esa parte / Keep you in that partDonde no he dejado a nadie más llegar / Where I have not let anyone else reachSentir que el mundo nos da vueltas / Feel the world is spinning aroundLas horas no se cuentan / The hours do not countY que el reloj se pare ahí / And let the clock stop there This all-female Latin Pop group […]
