JEMS – ‘Back Around’

Known for their flawless harmonies, Indie folk powerhouse trio JEMS is releasing their sophomore album ‘Back Around’. In ten tracks the album takes listeners on a journey as they effortlessly blend emotional storytelling and organic sounds. Sometimes we have to ask ourselves, how much is too much? In JES’s latest single, “All The Way” she dives into the complexities of being a giver and how that can come at a cost. I am an all-in kind of person. A lot of the time, I am just not being objective about what is happening. We can all see ourselves as givers, and I can be guilty of using that as a badge of honor in how I see myself. The character in the song is doing the same thing and is not respecting herself or practicing self-care. It was that circle of exhaustion, perfectionism, guilt, and low self-esteem that inspired the lyrical ideas.
